If you wish noone to see it, make a folder on you PC and put your art there.
I hate when people are using storage, to be honest. And I hate twice, when stamps or tutorials are being stored. What the hell?! How can we use them if we only see that stupid grey thing?! People, think a bit! It's stupid.
I really know that people can do what they wish with their art, but honestly, I don't get the point of storage. it's silly for me. Especially for things like tuts, stamps, and of course all other stuff. bleh.
Feel free to disagree. politely
OC Friendship Contest
Black & White Challenge
and others put there stuff in storage to move to another account.
if they no longer want people to see a crappy doodle they made months or years ago, it's their choice, they have their reasons
and for comms/requests/gifts.. you people just save it into your PC files
It makes me sad.
dont upload something if you're gonna freaking put it into storage months or years later, jackasses...
Sometimes I forget to save my stuff I buy, and I used to not do it at all due to lack of space on my computer, so I lost actually quite a few adopts this way and almost lost a few commissions (That I had payed a lot of points for. Well, a lot for me anyways because it's hard for me to make points :c) because people put them in storage.
I especially hate it when you see it happen, and you ask the artist to unhide briefly so you can save it, and they throw a huge hissy fit and act like you're asking sooooo much of them to let you have something you payed them for. I've given up on recovering the adopts I lost because the few times I did ask for the file to save again, I was treated really rudely and I didn't even get them to unstore the right file half the time.
Hide your own personal art if you want to, but don't hide the things people paid for because thats BS if you ask me.
I myself get hella annoyed when people store the stuff I like. But I try to understand why first. Some people just don't believe in deleting. I don't.
if you don't want people to steal your art, don't put it on the internet in the first place.
I'm 100% against art theft, but I'm also against witch hunts and not properly "protecting" your own art. If you watermark your art you can make sure that people can trace the art back to the original owner. If you watermark with your DA name or link to your website, it can be easily tracked down.
My cry out is more to make people aware that IF you put something on the internet it CAN be stolen. It's more like this: not IF it will be stolen, but WHEN. Make sure that it can be tracked back to you.
I've added this stamp to my profile because I hate it when I use other stamps for movies and tv shows I like and then the page fills up with the safe picture and the words 'In Storage' Why bother even putting them up in the first place!!
Thanks for the stamp by the way!
